Class 12 Chapter 13 - Organisms and Populations

Organisms behave as the 'biotic' or living part of the whole large entity known as Populations with the 'abiotic' or non living components serving as the other part. Populations are thus composed of biotic organisms and abiotic components. Naturally, there exists several different interactions not only between the organisms as well as organisms and abiotic components. This thus leads to formation of several different types populations with some being static and non moving with others being dynamic. Description of these several interactions, factors and characteristics of organisms making up the populations are discussed in this chapter.
