Living organisms are extensively vast as well as diverse and thus, difficult to study individually. This chapter thus, includes the description of living beings and the unique qualities of the living world. Ecosystem involves all things living and non-living. This leads to an exhaustive list of living beings surviving on the planet which has the potential to create a lot of confusion amongst biologist when it comes to studying, understanding and managing all the organisms. Thus, some naturalists discovered various grouping system for the organisms, covering the shortest prions to the largest mammals which finally resulted in these organisms getting classified. As a universal rule, the organisms are given scientific names.
